Japanese scientists had an experiment to test green tea extract weight loss benefits. There were 38 males participants. Fifty percent of the group was given green tea extract together with daily food intake and the other half received only the daily food. After 12 weeks, participants with green tea extract diet showed noticeable cut down in body weight and waist versus the group of people without the extract.
Green tea also helps with regulating the amount of food intake. In a clinical experiment, tea extract was given to one group of mice and placebo was provided to the other group. After 7 days, the group which was given green tea extracts loss urge for food and reduced their consumption by 60 percent. Lower calorie intakes concluded in weight loss.
According to the researchers, the lost cravings were due to the control of blood sugar level. Catechins allow sugar to enter the blood stream at a lower rate which often prevents rapid rises in insulin. People with high blood sugar level may feel hungrier and also less energetic. Last advice for anyone serious about trying green tea as a weight loss product is to always take green tea without any artificial additives. A lot of the iced tea products sold in a food store include artificial additives which include sugar. This defeats the objective of reducing weight. It is most beneficial to make own tea and perhaps only put natural citrus juice for example lemon juice to improve antioxidants. If brewing tea is a lot of work then, consider tea extract tablets. A lot of pills on the market are sugar-free and some include vitamins for more health rewards.
